Here’s some more polygon fun..
nothing much really, but still a timesaver if you like this way of working. I will release it as soon as it’s finished, but until then, here is another video to show how it works.
The video is compressed as Quicktime Sorenson 3 and you’ll need WinRar to unpack the file.

Another short videodemonstration of the targetMerge MEL-script I’m working on.
I have had no time for personal stuff lately so the upgrade isn’t huge.
It works in two different ways now:
1. The “select -> run script -> select” method
2. The “3dsmax way”
The video demonstrates both methods.
There are also some bugs I have to fix, and It needs some cleanup. But since I have gotten some emails regarding the script, I decided to put the script available for download anyways, and hopefully get some feedback in one way or another.
Stuff I would like some feedback on are as follows:
- Is the window useful or annoying? I like to have something visual so that I know I’m in “targetMerge mode”. Maybe a HUD message would be better?
- Is cancelling the script when making a wrong selection annoying? When in “cbTargetMerge 1; mode” I happen to think so..
I think I’m gonna have to make a “Try again” type of thing, so that you don’t loose your selection, and will have another chance at selecting the target vertex.
… but feel free to comment on other things as well.

This is a short demonstrationvideo on a script I’m wrapping up.
It’s a “targetMerge” type script for polygon modelling, similar to the “Target Weld” function in 3dsmax.
I have to fix a couple of things in the script before I upload it, and my schedule is pretty stuffed at the moment, but hopefully I will get time to finalize and upload it very soon.
